1. General Information
1.1. By participating in this silent auction, bidders agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 1.2. The silent auction is organised by Alasdair Gibson in support of Prostate cancer UK 1.3. The auction will be conducted at Woburn Golf Club on 15th August 2024. 1.4. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Prostate Cancer UK.
2. Bidding Process
2.1. Bidding will close on 15th August 2024. 2.2. Bids must be placed in person at the event or by email prior to the date unless otherwise specified. 2.3. To place a bid, write your name, contact details, and bid amount on the form provided. 2.4. Bids must meet or exceed the minimum bid increment specified on the bid sheet. 2.5. The highest bid at the time of closing will be deemed the winner.
3. Payment and Collection
3.1. Winners will be notified after the event. 3.2. Payment must be made in full before the auction item is released. Acceptable payment methods include Cash or Cheque made payable to Prostate Cancer UK or through Just Giving links. 3.3. Items must be collected. If not collected within this time frame the Senior Section reserves the right to offer the item to the next highest bidder or re-auction the item. 3.4. For items that require further arrangement (e.g., tours, experiences), winners will be provided with contact details to coordinate directly with the donor or service provider.
4. Auction Items
4.1. All auction items are sold “as is.” The Senior Captain makes no warranties or representations regarding the items. 4.2. Descriptions of auction items are based on information provided by donors. THe Senior Captain is not responsible for inaccuracies or discrepancies. 4.3. No refunds or exchanges will be issued for auction items.
5. Disputes
5.1. In the event of a dispute, the Senior Captain reserves the right to make the final decision. 5.2. Any disputes regarding bids or auction items must be addressed to Alasdair Gibson immediately.
6. Legal Requirements
6.1. Bidders must be at least 18 years of age. 6.2. By participating in the auction, bidders agree to the use of their names and likenesses for promotional purposes related to the event without additional compensation.
7. Liability
7.1. The Senior Captain is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property arising from or related to the auction items or the auction itself. 7.2. Winners assume all responsibility for any arrangements, including transportation and accommodation, related to the auction items.
8. Additional Conditions
8.1. The Senior Captain reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction. 8.2.The Senior Captain reserves the right to change, modify, or amend these terms and conditions at any time.
